Romance Languages


Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Spanish. 

Ricardo earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Kent University and his MBA degree from the University of South Florida. In addition, Ricardo earned a Graduate Degree in Hospital Administration from the School of Public Health at the University of Chile, as well as a Translator – Interpreter Certificate from EATRI and is a member of the American Translators Association (ATA). Ricardo has worked as a principal conference interpreter and translator since 1994.


Commercial Engineer, Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Spanish. 

Born in New York. Judy graduated from the University of Santiago Chile, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1986. In 1993, Judy obtained her degree as a Translator and Conference Interpreter from ELADI, where she graduated with honors. Judy is a Managing Partner, and in addition to her duties as principal conference interpreter, she supervises the final production of all Spanish translated products.


Linguist-Assistant Editor. 

Working closely with our Senior Editor. Paulina’s area of responsibility is to ensure the cultural and technical accuracy in all Spanish language translations is met. María Antonieta earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from Universidad Católica of Chile. Pauline is a Senior Consultant to the Latin Immersion Network.


Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Spanish.

Paula received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Translation and Interpretation from ELADI (Latin American School of Translation and Interpretation) and holds a graduate degree in Arabian Culture and Language. Paula is a principal translator and interpreter, specializing in telecommunications and computer hardware and software. She formerly worked as a full-time translator for Berlitz Global Net and E-Translate.


Professional translator, English/Spanish, since 2004.

She has completed projects on different subjects, such as journalistic articles of general interest, educational material and software for children, power tools, instruction booklets, training courses, web sites, tourism, arts, architecture, social matters and health services, among others. Graduated as an architect, she also is qualified in arts and technical fields related to digital media such as digital imaging, web development, desktop publishing, graphic design. She has a solid humanistic background and expert knowledge of Spanish language, as well as commitment to quality and a keen eye to detail.



Slavic Languages


Accredited Translator & Interpreter, English/Bosnian/Serbo Croation

Dobrila graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2000. For the past 5 years Dobrila has worked as a Translator-Interpreter for the Bosnian and Serbo Croatian community. Her major focus concentrates on community interpreting and document translations. Currently, Dobrila is certified to work as an interpreter for the State of Minnesota Supreme Court.


Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Bosnian/Serbo Croation

Godana is a professional (B.A.) translator/interpreter for Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian languages with 15 years of experience and accreditation. Some of the organizations she currently works with are Foreign Broadcast Information Service- FBIS of the US Government in Washington as a Translator and Cultural Consultant. She has acquired her Linguistic Bachelor of Science degree from Belgrade University.


Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Russian

Oleg graduated in 1994 from the St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg, Russia with a major in Linguistics. For the past 8 years Oleg has worked as a Translator-Interpreter for the English-Russian business community. Oleg has also preformed technical translations for the Oil and Gasification Engineering field. He provided support for foreign delegations and interpreted all major Oil Refinery Plant’s international conferences and presentations as well as translating and analyzing information relevant to contracts and agreements made by Oil Refinery Plants with foreign companies.




 African Languages


Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Somali/Amharic/Arabic/Russian

Abdulahi is a Berlitz Global Net translator-interpreter. He provides interpretation and translation services for Immigration courts and other  agencies. Graduated in 1982 from Military Technical College, Cairo, Egypt with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering (Avionics). Worked as an instructor and translated technical manuals from English to Russian and Somali to English for instructional and maintenance use. Abjulahi, functioned as a Multilingual social worker for welfare caseloads, (AFDC, Food Stamps, Medicare and Refugee Assistance Programs) and acted as an Interpreter and Translator for the Department of Health and Human Services, County Court System, and other state and federal agencies. In addition, he was the co-founder and executive director of a community service organization that provided cultural awareness & integration services, community health referrals; ESL and citizenship training programs for immigrants. Interpreter and translation services were also an intricate part of his duties for this organization.


Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Somali

Accredited translator-interpreter for Dialog Line. Saeed graduated from Saint Mary University of Minnesota in June 2001 and earned a bachelor of Information Technology. He also graduated from Minneapolis Community and Technical College and earned a two-year Diploma in business administration. Saeed has extensive experience working as freelance translator/editor for medical, legal and business documents from English to Somali. Currently he is an ESL teacher for the Minneapolis Public Schools and is committed to provide the Minnesota Somali/English community with solutions that bridges linguistic and cultural barriers.


Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Arabic

Ahmed’s qualifications includes a Bachelor degree in Translation and five years of actual translation experience in the fields of medical, legal and human services.


Certified translator & Interpreter, English/Oromo

Talila was certified as a translator/interpreter from the County of Santa Clara California. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors Degree in International Relations and history. He worked directly with new immigrants, political asylums and refugees from East Africa. His work included interpretation/translation services for the Minnesota Council of Churches in the areas of medical, legal and human services.



Asian Languages

Khamchanh Phanthavong

Accredited Translator, English/Lao 

Kham’s goal is to give a broad range of information accurately and clearly to immigrants and refugees for the Lao Community around the world.  He completed his Master and Doctorate Degree as a Research Scientist at the University of Agriculture in Bulgaria .He has worked as a translator, editor, proofreader, and document designer for Lao publications for over 8 years in the fields of medicine, law, public health, and social services. He is also able to format flyers, brochures, advertising posters and books in the Lao language.


Accredited Translator & Interpreter, English/Lao

Balang is an ESL teacher at Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, MN. She received her Master degree from Ball State University in Guidance Counseling and French in 1985. She became certified as a teacher in Bilingual Education from Hamline University in 1989. She has translated and interpreted for schools, hospitals and the Courts for the Lao refugees for over 10 years. Balang was given a Governor’s Commendation for best practice in serving the Asian Community in Minnesota. In 1986 she received an award from the Women of Colors for servicing diverse communities.


Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Vietnamese

Alan worked at the FBI as a Vietnamese Translator-Interpreter for a total of ten (10) years.  He worked almost all major federal crimes violations, from white collar, organized crimes, kidnapping, slavery, money laundering, crimes against children, and many other federal violations. He worked with many joint task forces that involved such agencies as, IRS, DEA, U.S. Customs, INS, U.S. Secret Service and many local police departments and law enforcement agencies around the country.  Alan is well trained in courtroom interpretations and translations support. He has testified in many court proceedings as a linguist witness expert and received 100% conviction rate. He has received the FBI Director’s award and commendations for his excellent work.

Hang Nguyen

Certified Translator & Interpreter, English/Vietnamese

Hang holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Major in Translation/Interpretation from the International Business of Hanoi Foreign Trade University. Hang has more than 6 years’ experience as freelance translator/reporter for various Vietnamese newspapers and translation agencies worldwide. He has extensive experience in general, technical, medical and legal translation.


Translator & Interpreter English/Hmong

Instilled with skills and experience for over 9 years she works as a Translator and Interpreter from Hmong <> English. Mrs. Yang is professional and able to fulfill the desire outcome for any translation project.  Lee earned her B.S. in Psychology from Northwestern College. In addition to her education and translation experience she volunteers to work in her community. Mrs. Yang chooses to utilize her skills as an instrument to enrich the lives of the people she serves through providing positive growth in quality, dedication, honesty, integrity and service.


Accredited Translator & Interpreter, English/Hmong

Soua is a Hmong cultural consultant for the public schools. His career as a translator and cultural consult started after receiving his Master Degree in Social Sciences from Augsburg College. Soua is an accredited translator-interpreter from the U of M and has over 15 years of experience working in the translation-interpreting field.  Working with Soua has always been a delight, his creativity and talent has allow him to create many publications in the area of cultural communications, his work can be found under the titles of the English-Hmong Bilingual Dictionary, Introduction to Hmong culture and History and the English- Hmong Primary Work Book.
