Dialog One collaborates with many organizations to recruit and educate individuals interested in working as language and cultural communication professionals within the medical, legal and human services professions. We offer these quality bilinguals the opportunity to work and acquire practical experience in the particular field of interest. The goal is to combine their academic studies and their practical experience before entering our cultural mediator program. Dialog One will offer potential bilingual agents full time/part time employment in order to participate fully in the program. The cultural mediator training program will be managed by the Department of Labor in conjunction with local colleges who will provide the additional training requires to become accredited as a cultural mediator in the chosen specialty. Partnering with these organizations is essential for the development of professional interpreters/translators in our communities. It is the desire of Dialog One to create a “feeder program” to local colleges and universities interested in education and accreditation of bilingual interpreters and translators throughout the United States.
