Our technology allows us to offer services over the phone, video remote, in person, written translation, website localization, and other custom communications. We work on a project-to-project basis as well as on-demand, or through scheduled sessions.

OTHER SERVICES : Dialog One is considered a comprehensive language service provider (LSP) and we certainly are, however we do more than just provide language services. We educate organizations on how to work with communities with limited English, hard of hearing, mute, blind/low vision as well as to empower those service providers to listening from an empowering context to best serve these communities.

Would you like to work in an environment where you, your coworkers, and your clients are being listened to powerfully?
Empowered by Listening SM, challenges participants to truly inquire about and assess the phenomena of communication. Participants will personally examine their points of view and concerns that get in the way of hearing what someone is saying and precisely conveying that to someone else. At some point in our lives, each of us have experienced being misunderstood. We say one thing, but someone else hears another. We direct a person to do something, the person ends up doing something else. It’s frustrating, frequent, and becomes particularly acute in cross-cultural communication.

Empowered by Listening is a fundamental inquiry and exploration of language and communication (both verbal and nonverbal). It unfolds and expands our ability to listen and speak with intentionality; communicate responsibly and accurately; honor other points of view and create workability in our personal lives and our organizations.

Ginna Grussing (Facilitator)
Mrs. Grussing currently coordinates and manages the area of Educational Development for Dialog One’s bilingual agent network. Her background is in language education, she earned her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction and further study in ESL and Linguistics from the University of St Thomas. She has worked with all ages of new immigrants in the community, and was the recipient of the Volunteer of the year award from the Minnesota Literacy Council and the Golden Apple Award from Richfield Public Schools. Ms. Grussing has spent the last 7 years exploring communication and empowering others to explore themselves as powerful listeners.

Dialog One’ strength is its professional network of “Accredited Interpreters” and translators. We accredited their skills internally by following specific structures in our hiring process. We will only connect our talent to projects to languages that are:

  • 100% vetted in both native and acquired languages
  • Qualified and have minimum 2 years of experienced in a given specialization
  • Bound by the professional ethics and standards of our industry
  • Trained and bound by HIPPA and PCI regulations
  • Signs Business Agreements and completes basic orientation
  • Trained through Bridging the Gap. (a 40 hours community interpreter program)

Our certification
Dialog One’s Professional Network of “Certify interpreters” comes from programs who are setup nationally to educate and certify bilingual talent to support the medical and legal professions. We work with trained professionals who are graduates of the following programs.

  • National Board of Certification Medical Interpreters – Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) designation
  • Certified Healthcare Interpreters (CHI) designation
  • Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) designation
  • Bridging the Gap Community Interpreter Program (40) hours training (accreditation)
  • National Association of Judiciary Interpreters & Translators (NAJIT)
