What We’re Looking For
We are seeking skilled linguists with a strong background in either Medical, Legal, Education, or Marketing specializations. Your primary role will be to provide written translation services, but you can also provide transcreation services at a firm rate. This opportunity offers flexibility and independence. You’ll be able to work remotely from your location, helping clients in a variety of critical translations.
Requirements & Qualifications
To ensure we provide the best possible service, we have a few key requirements for you as an independent contractor, regardless of location or language:
- Experience: At least three years of professional medical, legal, education, marketing, and other specialized technical experience.
- Language Proficiency: Verified fluency in both the target language and English.
Technical Setup: for handling translations/transcreations, complex projects, DTP-heavy work, or agency-level output.
Outputs: Ready-to-publish translations, marketing/localization files (InDesign, HTML, subtitled video scripts), plus agency-ready project management and QA compliance.
What to Expect After You Apply
Once you submit your profile, we will review it to ensure you meet our initial requirements. If you’re a good fit, you will be contacted to sign our NDA, complete our language assessment, and takeour general written translation test. We will provide you with a short article or press release (~250–300 words) in English for you to render it into a specific target language (s) for us to assess later for accuracy, natural flow, correct grammar, syntax, and consistency with terminology.
